[...] Geo-Targeting: Geo-Targeting aims to take the idea of Foursquare, a location based “check in” social network used on your smartphone, and integrate it into everything you do. Physically check in with your phone and redeem incentives. This looks promising for businesses because it can be used for heavy consumer based businesses such as shopping malls, boutique stores and restaurants. The opportunities are endless. Imagine removing the limitations that surfaced when you were previously attempting to bridge that gap between online and offline. Further to this point, the future of this technology is in RFID tags. For more information on this, you can follow the link to one of our previous blog posts on this subject: http://www.eclipsecreative.ca/blog/?p=957 [...]

That’s a great point Caprina - image functionality. Great images are one thing, but when they are user-friendly and search engine friendly, it’s terrific. Peter Bagi is certainly talented – props to you Peter. Same goes for Balazs, who is the web programmer for many of our sites. Caffe Fantastico is another great example (Peter and Balazs certainly make a great duo). Not only are the images on this site great but they are also functional.

Thank you for sharing. Great example.

Beautiful images indeed. And agreed, I have always advocated the idea that websites should meet both criteria of being not only beautiful and representative of the organization, but also functional, user-friendly and search engine friendly.

FYI: the photographer for Fol Epi is Peter Bagi http://www.peterbagi.com/ (he may very well have also done the Victory photography) and his brother does most of his website work. http://www.balazsbagi.com/ Caffe Fantastico's website is also another great example of their collaboration: http://www.caffefantastico.com/

Aldea - we noticed that too! Funny how we're so captivated by the awesome photography we looked passed the unfinished site. Also didn't pick up on that programming thing with Victory. Great point. I think this further proves photography does wonderful things for you. Maybe sometimes too much? haha.

Great photos! Do you know who the photographers are for each? Fol epi only has fake/greek content on their site though - maybe not quite finished? And on the Victory Barber site don't like how the site is programmed for all content to be on one page, so if someone wants to link to something specific (like their favourite barber) they can't. The beautiful photos make up for it though and the desaturated images really set a nice rustic mood in keeping with their brand.

I think that for those that are young, it will discourage them to buy smokes. For those that have been smoking for ages... chances are, perhaps not.

Hi Brett,

Having a member or members of staff at each location manage their own unique page will certainly make it easier to keep the page updated and allow them to connect with the local community. Thanks Brett.
